My Son’s Birthday
Today Paul turned eight. It hardly seems possible that it wasn’t just a few days ago that we brought him home. They say time flies when you’re having fun. Whoever “they” are, I’d say “they” got it right this time. It seems that every day has a new twist in the fun we can have together. Paul’s new favorite activity lately has been playing Risk. He doesn’t really care whether it’s the board game, or electronic version. Last Saturday evening, he beat the other five people playing. It seemed fitting since we were having a family party for him, but he managed it with very little help. His plans for the future haven’t changed in the past 4-5 years. He’s still planning to be a killer whale trainer. We’ve been taking him to Sea World for several summers now. Usually (and this year is no exception) by Christmas time he’s asking how long it will be until we can go back.
I did take some pictures of him today, but haven’t downloaded them yet. Here’s a shot from this past fall, while we went for a walk around the neighborhood.
