A Fun Wedding Weekend
Tammy and I had the privilege of hanging out with Carole and Chris this weekend. After a lengthy friendship, they tied the knot Sunday at Heritage Park here in Chattanooga. Along with both of their families, they spent a beautiful day at the park. Considering that it is the middle of July, the weather was balmy and comfortable with temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s. Most of the day there was a nice cloud cover with beautiful light for photos.
The weekend started on Friday with bridal portraits at our studio. While we were there, we also took some pictures with Carole’s parents and with her cute flower girl. Her hand made and beaded dress was amazing! Her dressmaker, Anastasia, was also on hand to make sure all was ok. She is also a fun person to get to know.
Saturday evening, Carole and Chris had a fun rehearsal and dinner at Sugar’s BBQ. There was fun music that the kids enjoyed dancing to, and lots of visiting between all their friends and family from across the country and world.
Overall, the weekend was a lot of fun! As expected it was also somewhat tiring, but well worth it. As they are uploaded, the pictures will be available to see and purchase in our galleries.
*Update - the pictures are starting to upload now.*
Fireworks and Family
Each year the 4th of July rolls by and there are lots of celebrations and fun activities to try out. This year I got to spend the holiday with my family and had fun watching a couple different fireworks shows. We had a great time! I combined some of the fireworks into one print for your enjoyment. You can see some of the other images here.
As much fun as I had, I want to point out that we owe this ability to celebrate to the sacrifices of so many of our fellow Americans. Thousands of our troops are deployed all over the world. Over the last few years, there has been so much controversy of our governments troop use. I want to say thank you to all the troops that have gone about their jobs like the professionals they are. They continue to defend our rights throughout the controversy, and they’ve all volunteered to do so. Thank you so much for what you do!!!
For the rest of the month of July, if you or a member of your immediate family is in the U.S. military, take half off my normal sitting fee for family portraits. Email me and schedule your portrait session.
New additions at our house
We got a surprise this past week at our house. Tammy cleaned out our female rabbit’s cage and as usual threw out the waste in the trash. While waiting for one of the garbage pickup days, a neighborhood raccoon got into the garbage and so it had to be picked up again. She noticed that one of the corners of the bag was moving and discovered 3 baby bunnies. They had managed to survive for at least 2 days in the trash. They’re now reunited with momma bunny and have pretty much doubled in size in the past 3 or 4 days.
I’m sure this sounds like horrible animal care, but in our defense, the rabbits are kept in separate cages, so we were not expecting bunny babies! Tammy so far has decided to name them Lucky, Miracle, and Dumpster. One has been claimed, but two are still available if anyone wants one. They should be ready to leave mama bunny in about 4 weeks.
Here are a couple bunny pictures. Then one of our cat’s reactions to one of the little fur balls as I was taking the pictures.
